Snohomish Dog Camp • FAQs

Our Mission

At Snohomish Dog Camp, our mission is to give every dog safe, loving care and a fun camp experience tailored to their unique personality and needs. We care just as much about how pet parents feel—building trust through personal attention and thoughtful communication so they feel confident, connected, and at ease while their dogs are with us.

How it started

Our family’s love of dogs—including four Boxers and a black Lab—inspired Rebecca to start Snohomish Dog Camp, offering the safe, fun, personalized care we want for our own dogs. Rebecca is the owner and primary caretaker, with Mike and Gabe often lending a hand.

After raising three kids with Mike and spending more than 30 years as a database administrator in tech, Rebecca brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a fresh perspective to dog boarding.

General questions

What does a typical day at camp look like?
A typical day includes plenty of playtime with friends, between our indoor and outdoor spaces, along with rest breaks, meals, and individual attention.

Where will my dog sleep?
We currently have three runs, a large room, and crates. We’ll talk with you about your dog’s sleeping routine at home and choose an option that supports their comfort and safety.

How do you keep dogs safe?
Dogs are supervised whenever they’re playing together, and our playfield is enclosed by six-foot fencing. We monitor interactions and adjust play groups as needed.

Will my dog fit in?
We welcome dogs of all sizes who enjoy being around other dogs. We’ll work with you to determine whether camp is a good fit and whether we can safely meet your dog’s needs along with the needs of the existing campers.

Do you require a meet-and-greet or trial visit?
A meet-and-greet is required and usually takes about 20 minutes. Your dog can explore the yard and get comfortable while we answer your questions. If that goes well, we encourage a trial daycare visit or overnight stay to see how your dog settles in.

Who will care for my dog?
Rebecca is the primary caregiver and handles daily care, meals, and bedtime. Gabe usually fills in if she needs to step away during the day, and Mike often helps with weekend playtime. If someone outside the family provides care, we will make you aware of the change.

Will I get updates? Can I check in?
Yes! Each evening, you’ll receive a one-minute video of your dog’s day at camp. You’re also welcome to reach out for a morning update or check in anytime.

What vaccinations and health requirements do you have?
Dogs must be current on rabies, DAPP or DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations. Younger puppies may also need a negative fecal test. Dogs should arrive free of signs of illness, including vomiting or diarrhea.

Can you accommodate medications, special diets, or individual routines?
Please bring your dog’s usual food and any medications, along with instructions. We can administer medications. We will accommodate individual routines where possible. Some requests may be difficult in a group setting, so please discuss your dog’s needs with us before booking.

What should I bring?
Bring your dog’s food, any medications, and a blanket or bed.

What are your rates and pickup/drop-off hours?
Current rates and pickup and drop-off hours are listed on our HOME page.

What happens if my dog gets sick or injured?
We’ll contact you right away. For daycare dogs, we’ll ask you to arrange pickup. For boarding dogs, we’ll discuss the situation and next steps with you. If your dog needs emergency veterinary attention and we can't reach you, we’ll take them to an emergency vet. All boarding families sign a release authorizing us to seek emergency care.

What is your cancellation policy?
We currently ask that you give us as much notice as possible if your plans change. This helps us manage availability and offer the space to another family. Our cancellation policy may change in the future.

How do I book my dog’s first stay?
Start by filling out the Camper Questionnaire on our home page. Once we receive it, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet. If that goes well, we’ll work with you to schedule a trial visit.
